Author is rightfully questioning the whole EV craze. Particularly the type of EVs the whole industry seems predominantly focused on, may well be seen as a dubious step. To use low energy-dense battery drive in big SUVs and sedans borders to the ridiculous. Large battery packs add to the weight, bulk and costs even more. Reason why sales are dependent on governments shelling out billions in tax credits. IMO, a battery car should be as close as possible to a ‘mobility appliance’ on wheels. Let’s take Tesla’s lightest EV as an example how NOT to bring an EV.
