Could have been written, should have been written three decades ago. What's good about the RS: their lily-whiteness enabled them to (re)introduce the blues to an American white audience, in a society highly segregated at the time. Causing black artist to gain acceptance. Also good, their longevity. The maybe ‘iffy thing’ is the other side to the same medal: profiting from what was ‘not theirs´to begin with. If Richards had invested in black neighborhood social programs, he would have been more believable.
