Don’t know if a basis income will solve the problem. The ‘bigger picture’ is that Silicon Valley conglomerates operate like supranationals (no longer multinationals) that tend to evade (disrespect?) national governments when it comes to taxing income, and where to spend revenue. With their focus on non-tangible, mostly smartphone-related, solutions to problems we never had in the first place, they leave a huge void that still needs filling in. It is still a very physical world out there we all live in. Still a lot that needs to be done, needs solving. I am working in a field that is characterized by confined, within the box thinking… even by Silicon Valley newcomers! http://evworld.com/blogs.cfm?blogid=1359
