Fortune referred to autonomous vehicles as a $7000 billion market by 2050. If the technology does not materialize within the decade, a lot of people will have to write off their billion dollar investments. It explains why Uber recently got 1 billion to continue working on driverless cars. IMO, elementary mistakes are being made by people who have difficulty to think outside the box, a trait most techies have in common.
