Good to read. What’s missing, is the proper transport mode to match the ‘Part of the Infrastructure’ thought. Obviously (IMO), something smaller, sleeker, therefore more energy- and space-efficient, easier to realize self-driving with, and even more what Germans call ‘Fahrvergnügen’… Below: bus schedules to plan our trip have been replaced by travel apps. The ‘missing link’ vehicle will complement speedy transit.

Below: Waymo’s missed opportunity. It reportedly ordered 60,000 Chryslers Pacifica Hybrid. Go figure.
