Great article, hits the spot. It’s the familiar story of corporations becoming too powerful that they stifle innovation and competition. We used to have anti-trust laws against companies making secret deals to divide the market, set the prices, etc. But what happens when companies have become their own oligarchy, constitute their own ‘little’ universe of companies? It sure has the undivided attention of the EU, where the Commission already fined Google for favoring its own advertisers. Next is to ask yourself what ecosystems mean besides convenience, like you already mentioned. Total dependence? Total control? Not a very bright perspective if you’d ask me?
