How are we supposed to look back upon the Vietnam War, to mention that other painful, armed conflict the U.S. was involved in between WW2 and Iraq? Necessary? Can you explain why? Vietnam now is a valued trading partner. Not forced into economic submission because the U.S. won that war, because it didn’t. Lessons? War feeds on itself, many times sacrificing the best men and women a country has to offer.
