I agree. It is like seeing a passenger train in the distance approaching fast, you fully aware that the railroad tracks closeby are no longer there. I know for sure that even diehard Republicans are astonished that Trump managed to come this far. It all feels like some huge, cosmic, diabolical experiment, Beelzebub wanting to see how far American democracy can be stretched and pushed.
