I don't expect China will. It wants two things. 1. For the U.S. to butt out of the difficult relationship it has with Taiwan. 2. For itself to be accepted all around the world, to begin with for its strategic-economic power to buy itself into countries with failing infrastructural and industry-restructuring projects, and for its hi-tech exports. China is about to become the #1 EV producer. I don't think that it wants to jeopardize that prospect. It means income too of course. The moment it will actually invade Taiwan, the U.S. and EU will retaliate by making it China much more difficult to export to those countries.
