I heard a perfect explanation for the difference between Nixon and Trump. It’s called: not easily intimidated. As a matter of fact, ‘truth’ has become what Trump likes to communicate directly to his followers, not fact-checked by the 4th pillar in a self-respecting democracy. Trump is probably right that he would get away with murdering someone. Ditto with a break-in in the Democratic HQ and denying knowing about it. If the economic situation weren’t this good, Reps would have dropped him by now.
