Interesting story (I already put it on twitter). Now let’s hope that after having hired the best and brightest nerds, Apple hasn’t lost sight of what Next-Gen personal transit and car travel should be about: finally tackle the loose ends that went unaddressed by car makers far too long. I hope that Apple will be faithful to its core philosophy to “Think Different” and that it will come up with something ‘visionary’, regardless of the capacity it will be involved. Not some sort of Bang & Olufsen minimalist styled SUV, as a lot of people have been speculating about over the past years. The bottom line being: as long as we’re not capable of “Beam me up Scotty” from A to B, we better do something about the ‘thing’ that needs displacing.
