Let's face it: with the ditching of all ICE-based engineering and hardware, the electric car has become a household's biggest appliance, an oversize RC toy car. Suspension technology is an excellent example of what used to be a typically ‘hands-on’ engineering skill and discipline, but that can now be provided for by electronics engineers. This means that other OEMs (than the established car brands) may step up to the plate of producing them. Big question now: is the ‘old’ car industry about to be Kodak-ed? Problems that have been left unaddressed, already invited us to do things differently. Climate Change now urges us to come up with concrete solutions. Transitioning from ICE to electric drive alone is not enough.
