The real motive why Trump wants a second term, may well be that he tries to avoid being prosecuted next year for all sorts of reasons: colluding, power abuse, conflicts of interests, tax evasion, fraud, groping women. Those cases should be brought to justice, since America needs closure, will need to come clean by finally giving Trump the place in America’s collective memory he deserves. He should not go down in history as some wise elder statesman… but as the narcissistic bully that managed to lure a nation down the path of division, intolerance and contempt for democratic institutions. Only then will Trump not have won.
