More cycling and scooter use is a no-brainer, almost. Don’t underestimate that public transportation can be very inefficient. Think of the need to move multi-ton weighing vehicles, despite the fact that they sometimes only carry a few passengers. TNCs cause more delays, a very recent SF survey has found out. IMO, a major gain would be to tempt city folk as well as ride-hailing operators to start using so-called small-footprint vehicles. (autonomous) The benefits to city governments would be self-evident (see thumbs-up).
