New technology tends to bring a ‘reformat’ of products. Smartphone best example. Why should it be different for the (autonomous) car? Essence of people transit is that it requires space and some physical mode of transport. Better reduce its footprint to solve a lot of issues in one fell swoop. Think of infrastructure bandwidth as an hour glass. The finer the grain, the more grain goes through. Personal mobility might learn a great deal of how we nowadays perceive personal communication, in terms of bandwidth, networks and platforms.
