Too bad that Silicon Valley let itself lure into the cul de sac of combining autonomous drive systems and using SUVs and big MPVs. Not only does the average ride-hail trip (1.2 passenger) lend itself to using much smaller, therefore cheaper and more effective robo taxis, it is way safer too. I wrote sort of a ‘blueprint’ for what an Apple car should be… could be. I’m afraid that Tim Cook has hired unimaginitive nerds though. Below: electric cars are like oversized RC toy cars — the bigger the toy, the more batteries it needs.
