New tech ought to be about addressing today’s challenges, about making sense. Can’t think of a bigger one right now than personal mobility, getting from A to B more efficiently, whilst reducing the harmful effects on our living environment and the planet. You’re talking about “more freedom”. The reality is that we made ourselves slaves of and through our smartphones and social media. Chance is that AI will make things worse, make us more dependent on technology and providers that already see us as consumer info packages to be freely exploited, rather than human beings.
