Some city governments already crack down on shareable E-scooters. This particular mode has yet to find its equilibrium between being a nuisance, cluttering city centers and being a handy, short-distance transit mode. Sounds a bit like those shareable bicycles. IMO, we should try to find an appealing alternative for people’s favorite mode of transportation, the passenger car, which has grown wider and heavier over the past decades. SUVs and, to a lesser extent, MPVs are to blame for the whole car obesity phenomenon. More objectives can be served by slimming down the car.
