The essence of internet is that too many people are ‘sending’ (writing), fewer are interested in ‘receiving’ (reading or listening). Mediocrity, a lot of times coming down to stating the obvious or a rehash of what’s been written before, has already won big time over truly new, original ideas. I have accepted this a long time ago. ‘Disruptive’ has always been the enemy of vested interests, which get way more exposure simply because they’re about well-established companies. In case you haven’t noticed, many Silicon Valley companies have become ‘well-established’ bureaucracies, and are not open at all to new ideas.
