The fact that LY did not yet manage to get a major global investor / OEM on board is disturbing. Then again, it barely constitutes a business model to paste solar cells all over a slippery sedan. Others could do the same thing. We are living in an age where whole countries (like Vietnam with VinFast) and outsiders like Sony rather develop their own EV than collaborate with let alone co-invest in startups like LY.
