THE problem with any (new) green movement: journalists like to write about its necessity, politicians rather talk about its necessity, academics love to continue their researching and sound the alarm bells, green organizations found out that Climate Change is a great way to create business (“donate now!” and holding lectures), vested interests hope that this will all go away… People with concrete ideas are being marginalized or ignored by journalists, politicians, researchers and environmental organizations. In other words, there is more of a shared interest in having a status quo continue or persist than in really solving problems.
