Therefore THE question to ask is: does Silicon Valley epitomize counterculture as it was meant in the 60's? No wonder that San Francisco became the hotbed of libertarians and anarchists. I’d say that politics, education professionals and ol’ school writer/journalists need to come up with something to balance the SV onslaught which is basically about controlling media and people’s minds, and money. Techies have found a way to have capital gravitate towards them by wishful engineering (autonomous vehicles are nowhere near completion as some make it out to be for instance), bending reality and people’s perception. Now there’s a neat trick.
