We ain't seen nothing yet. Remember how car makers responded to Tesla 7-8 years ago? That making cars is some sort of craft that takes decades to develop and master, and that Tesla will not be able to catch up that easily. It's now Tesla that is being studied for its higher-than-industry-average profitability, its strategic sourcing of materials, its giga-factories, etc. Then again, Tesla has stayed remarkably conservative in exploring possibilities, one of them being: simplification of both platform engineering and fabrication technology. IMO, we might see EV production that is more reminiscent of putting electric toy cars together…
