Western countries will immediately retaliate with economic sanctions. Important for the West to start working on reducing its dependence on electronics made in China and Taiwan. The moment exports, particularly now that China is about to flood markets with Chinese built electric cars, will stagnate, it will be hard to keep manufacturing plants in China open. China is already taking a hit by price dumping its EVs. Chinese will become unemployed and no longer can afford their cozy lifestyles. This will either lead to political unrest that may grow uncomfortable for Xi, or it may actually boost resentment against the U.S. and the EU...
