What historians call the 'swing of the pendulum' was inevitable. Obama admiited it that his very presence in the White House not only triggered the racist backlash that got its proponent in Trump, Obama's inititatives were also torpedoed by the Republicans in Congress as much as possible. I don't think that the U.S. will have a black president any time soon.
