What makes Russia dangerous is its willingness to make sacrifices (a 2nd nature since WW2), convinced that it simply has less to lose (than the West) and more to gain. On Russian TV 'experts' can be heard that nuclear wars can be won. There's no opposition to Putin, who will do everything to save his face. This all makes Russia unpredictable and dangerous.
