Yup, we already 'conquered' time travel to the past through one of our senses. When we look up to the night sky, we see the stars as they emitted their light many thousands of years ago. Betelgeuse may have already gone supernova. If we happen to witness this within our lifetime, then it happened before Newton was even born. Enhance our eyesight by using a telescope, and we can extend our travel back in time billions of years.
